Design Illustration Overview

Hi! I'm about to show you an overview of my designing process. First part will be the base which is obviously a model's body from Google, I would usually pick photos with nude models or with skin tone almost bare undergarments on them, that way it is easy for me to lay the design on the body. Next up, I pick the fabric on Google, you will notice I only lay the design on one side of the model's body that's because as of the moment I am in love with the mirror effect. These two designs are part of my Spider Design Collection. Goodnight!

Spider Design Collection Part 1

I would like to present to you my first ever design collection of haute couture creations from my imagination inpired by spiders. Ever since I was a kid Ive always wanted fashion but I lost my focus and was out of track with my dreams because of practicality and financial reasons. Growing up from a very unfortunate family in the Philippines, we struggled so much financially that my parents did not afford to send me to a fashion school. But then I realized no matter what I do it's fashion that makes me happy and that I am destined to be a fashion designer. To become part of the fashion industry in the Philippines is hard because of the huge competition. Many times I tried to become part of it but it seems like the industry is pushing me away. Eventhough I was not formally educated with fashion, I taught myself to do things out of the book. With my limitations due to absence of knowledge and equipments I finally decided to forget these limitations and not let it hinder me to reach my dreams. Being a computer savvy myself, I figured ways on how I can bring my designs to reality, simply by creating realistic illustrations. So here it is, I hope you like the first part of my spider design collection.

I believe that everyone can reach their dreams by doing something to achieve it in your own little way, just do something! This is the start of the journey. ^_^

This Is Not Clothing

‘This Is Not Clothing’ is a high-end luxury t-shirt brand which juxtaposes contemporary culture and fine art, immortalising people and icons in a similar way to the religious iconography of the Italian Renaissance. Ranging from Surrealism to Pop Art, through the medium of photography. The t-shirts are regarded as a wearable canvas, and are made from 100% ‘Fair Wear Foundation’ cotton, printed in Paris.

The artwork is created by brand founder, visual artist Jam Sutton. Jam’s work breaks away from traditional boundaries of still and moving image. Jam recently directed and produced Azealia Banks’ much talked about surreal music video for ‘Yung Rapunxel’- the first single from her upcoming debut album. Through ‘This Is Not Clothing’ Jam creates original pieces and shares his unique vision of our society by paying homage to the great artists that have shaped and influenced the history of art.
